Modern Flats
1961

A straightforward picture book recording some of the most interesting and distinguished flat buildings which have been erected throughout the world.

In this 1961 edition of Modern Flats, Langham House Close was featured alongside other flat buildings taken from 15 different countries

When considered together, the schemes illustrated in this volume reveal some interesting general trends: a tendency to build higher, to build communities rather than individual blocks, to think in terms of neighbourhoods and mixed development of flats and houses, and especially to try to provide for a better way of living.
